About the Role

Council actively promotes positive ageing by working in partnership with our customers, their families, friends and other stakeholders to find the best way of achieving excellent outcomes for both individuals and families.

Applications are invited from suitably skilled candidates for the casual positions of Community Support Workers (Home and Community Care) in Casterton, Dartmoor, Heywood, Portland & Nelson.

Community Support Workers provide high quality service to recipients and members of the community. Services delivered include home, personal and respite care.

The service core hours are 7am to 7pm.

Successful applicants should expect to be rostered on a casual basis between these hours any day of the week and may include some weekend work.

You will have:

  • Certificate III in Home & Community Services or equivalent qualification is essential with a Personal Care Module completed.
  • Current Level 2 first Aid
  • Ability to work varied hours and independently.
  • Appropriate skills in working with frail aged people &/or people with disabilities.
  •  A current driver’s licence is essential for this position.
  • Satisfactory Police Records check and valid Working with Children Check are essential requirements.
  • Victorian Government COVID-19 vaccination mandate for authorised workers
